ArtsQuest Announces Addition to August 2 Headliner

Better Than Ezra will join Sugar Ray and Tonic on the Wind Creek Steel Stage

Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, PA., May 20, 2024 – ArtsQuest is thrilled to announce the addition of Better Than Ezra to the August 2 headlining act in partnership with 100.7 WLEV. Better Than Ezra will be joining Sugar Ray and Tonic on the Wind Creek Steel Stage on Friday, August 2.

Better Than Ezra formed in 1988 at Louisiana State University and is described as a group of alt-rock icons that have “maintained a direct line to the unbridled joy of making music, endlessly dreaming up songs with an uncanny power to linger forever in the listener’s heart.” Their incredible songwriting has led to triumphs like landing on Billboard’s “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time” and “100 Greatest Alternative Songs of All Time” lists. You may have heard their hit #1 “Good” from 1995, and some became a fan following Taylor Swift’s famous cover of “Breathless” in 2010. The bands hummable melodies, unshakable guitar riffs and confessional lyrics quietly cemented the group as an enduring force in rock music.

“In many ways music is one of the closest things to magic, in terms of how it can affect and transport you,” says singer/guitarist Kevin Griffin. Paired with Sugar Ray and Tonic, this headlining act is bound to leave fans in a magical musical trance.
